things you come across while blog hopping

Christian Pick Up Lines

"I would like to pray with you."

"God told me to come talk to you."

"I know a church where we could go and talk."

"How about a hug, sister?"

"Christians don't shake hands, Christians gotta hug!"

"Oh, you're cold? Maybe we should read Ecclesiastes 4:11."

"What are your plans for tonight? Feel like a bible study?"

"I am here for you."

"The Word says "Give drink to those who are thirsty, and feed the hungry,"
So.. how about dinner?"

"You don't have an accountability partner? Me neither."

"You want to come over and watch 'The 10 Commandments' tonight?"

"Is it a sin that you stole my heart?"

"Would you happen to know a Christian woman that I could love with all my heart and wait on hand and foot?"

"Do you believe in Divine appointment?"

"Have you ever tried praying at a drive in before?"

"My friend told me to come and meet you. He said that you are a really nice person. I think you know him. Jesus, yeah that's his name."

"You know, they say that you have never really dated, until you have dated a Christian."

"What? Friends listen to Amazing Grace by candle light."

"What do you think Paul meant when he said, "Greet everyone with a holy kiss"?"

"Just looking at you makes me feel all ecumenical."

Christian Break Up Lines

"I'm sorry, I've found someone more spiritual."

"I'm sorry, it's just not God's will."

"I feel called to the ministry very soon and very far from you as soon as possible."

"I'm sorry, it could never work. I'm a sanguine and you're a phlegmatic."

"God loves me and must have a better plan for my life."

"You know, I feel like I'm dating my brother."

"At least I got a lot out of our Bible studies together."

"You need someone with lower standards."

"I think we should just be prayer partners."

"I do love you, but it's just agape now."

And finally, adding to the break up lines' the very one used on me.

"God doesn't make mistakes."

-_-

Yeah, try refuting that. Pffftt.

No la, I'm not bitter. Just extremely cheeky.

*Grins*

I find the sanguine and phlegmatic one amusing because it's such a 'Christian' thing to say whenever a C+ evaluates another person. Heh. I reckon only churches use personality tests like this one and the DISC one coz none of my other friends are aware of them. Then again, these tests are designed by Christians specifically for Christians, I suppose. They are after all based on biblical principles.

quickie

Hello people.

I've been terribly busy ever since I came back to the UK.

I am currently internet-less as I have moved out of Harrison Place and am bunking with my ex-housemate for the time being.

Will be heading to London tomorrow to see my folks off. I'll also be meeting a Xangan friend of mine, Linh-Chi. How cool is that? Plus, she'll be taking me around since I've never actually been to London after being in the UK for the past 3 years.

Lou&Apple will be getting married on the 19Aug and Joe&Xiao Yan on the 9Sept. Weee! Two weddings to attend! Don't you just love 'em? ;)

I'll be coming home when I get all my things sorted out here; probably by the second week of Sept.

Till then,
ciao and God bless!

Muaahhss.
