more books?!?!

Just when I thought, "Enough books Chel!", (since I've been buying non-stop from Amazon), Times decides to have their year end warehouse sale. Oh, woe is me. It's as if these people (I don't know which) just know when and how to entice me.

You see right, I'm not a 'shop-forclothes-aholic' kinda girl (this always comes as a surprise to people whenever I mention it) but a 'shop-forbooks-aholic' kind. I prefer to window shop most of the time because I'm either:

(a) too lazy to try the clothes on or
(b) it's waaayy too pricey

I mean, what's the point of trying if you can't/won't pay for it, right? You'll probably mull over it the entire day (and night) because it looks good on you but you just cannot afford to own it.
Sighh...

Oh and I so hate to shop during the Sale period because everything is everywhere! Clothes strewn all over the floor la; left, right, up, down and centre. Cannot wei, so messy, how to see? Plus, I can't be asked to join the moshpit. Heh, you know I'm so exaggerating but I've got a valid reason to, I'm claustrophobic you see.

That said, it ain't as if I don't shop when the Sale is on la (on a weekday, after lunch hour). That's just plain silly because when there's Sale in the UK, it's a real bargain. Like, 35pounds reduced to 5pounds, okay! Now that's what I call a SALE. Heh.

If I'm la-di-da-ing on the streets however, and happened to chance upon Waterstones or Borders, ahh.. that's it la. Once I step foot into the store, you won't see me for hours, which is a good thing, especially when I have lots of time to waste (which isn't always the case but I'm a procrastinator). I absolutely adore bookstores. It's as if they've cast a spell on me. Like every time I pass by one right, I cannot help but walk in. Hhmmm...

Oooppss.. I digress, as usual.

So, I totally messed up my parents plans today by dragging them along with me to the book sale. It's at *Section 13 by the way. We I spent quite a while browsing hence, ruining their Sunday. Anyhow, I bought a total of 13 books for RM100. That's like, 15pounds dude! Now, is that cheap or is that cheap? ;D

I got a couple of Shakespeare and Tolstoy from Penguin Classics.

Two John Maxwell books entitled The Power of Attitude and New Leadership 101 (inspired after reading The Choice Is Yours, gift from CY).

Four Christian Living/Spiritual Growth books,
Called to be God's Leader, Lessons from the Life of Joshua by Blackaby & Blackaby
Twelve Extraordinary Women by John MacArthur
An Enemy Called Average by John L. Mason
101 Simple Secrets To Keep Your Hope Alive by Betsy Williams

And three fictional books (I still need my stories, dude),
Jhumpa Lahiri's Interpreter of Maladies (woohoo! always had this in my Amazon basket but never bought it coz it's 7pounds wei, that's like a whopping RM50!)
Paulo Coelho's most celebrated book, The Alchemist
John Boyne's The Thief of Time (I read an EXCELLENT book by the same author entitled The Boy In Striped Pyjamas)

Oh, and I'm so far from done. We had to run coz we were running out of time =P
Anyway, I'm going back tomorrow coz I still have a boxful of books which I hid somewhere in between a whole load of other look-alike boxes ;D Now, let's just hope I'll be able to find it tomorrow.
