Running in Sydney...

... literally took my breath away.

T'was awesome that *lc lived slightly more than 1km from Darling Harbour.
Started out from her home to Pyrmont Bridge- where the harbour is at its full glory.
Ran across the bridge till I hit the CBD. Quite an experience running through the bustling city; maneuvering around people, stopping at the lights, crossing roads and more often than not, losing my way.

Got lost after I came to the end of York St. Wasn't sure if I was to run along the highway, which looked intimidating since I didn't know where the road would lead to.
So, I took the back alley- lots of tiny up and downhills, stairs leading to back entrances of hotels, which actually overlooked the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
-_- Berry good.

Once I caught sight of the bridge, all I could do was search for the Opera House.
It was afterall the 2nd day of my stay and I've yet to see it! Finally managed to sort of get a full view albeit far, far away.

Suffice to say, lost my way back because I was adventurous enough not to backtrack- noticed that I was running on a pedestrian path along an elevated highway heading towards I-don't-know-where. Got a little panicky coz there was no way down to the city, I was by-passing it!

Anyhoo, long story short, made my way back safe and sound and a little out of breath.
Altogether, it took me about 1hr 15mins to complete approx. 7.4km. Time includes getting lost and stopping for traffic.

LOVED IT! =)
